One Last Time...GO DEACS!

Stepping away from something youe done for a while is never easy, and is never a quick decision. This was very much the case for me when I made the decision earlier this month to step away from writing for Blogger So Dear.Il still be around and still be cheering for Wake as much as ever, but this will be my final article published on a consistent basis. That not to say I won step in occasionally and offer a few thoughts and opinions of course. Those of you who visit this site regularly have probably noticed that my contributions to it have dwindled in recent weeks. I started a full-time job at the beginning of December https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Quinton_Cooley_Jersey-64, and most of my time and energy is now devoted to that. While writing about and commenting on Wake Forest sports is fun, I now turn to watching games simply as a spectator and one of the biggest fans, without having to worry about trying to recap it for you and offer opinions in a way that provides insight you can get from just watching for yourself.I started writing for BSD in March of 2017 just as the Wake Forest men basketball team was coming off of a thrilling run to the NCAA Tournament Andy Elkins Jr. Jersey. Riley Johnston had just taken over as managing editor and gave me the opportunity to join the staff as a writer, giving me a platform to share my thoughts and excessive love for Wake Forest sports as a lifelong fan and supporter.I saw and wrote about some of the great moments in Wake Forest sports of the past four years-the 2017 football season and thrilling Belk Bowl win over Texas AM; the baseball team run to the Super Regionals; watching players like Greg Dortch, John Wolford, Sage Surratt, Boogie Basham, Jessie Bates, and countless others provide memorable moments on the football field; the unprecedented success of the men soccer team and their rise to being a national powerhouse; a national championship for the men tennis team; Jennifer Kupcho and her rise to a women golf national championship; and of course the hiring of new men basketball coach Steve Forbes. Each of these moments brought me great joy and helped to overcome the frustrations of the painful losses.I never imagined four years ago that I be writing about sports during and struggling to find content as a result of a global pandemic, yet that played out over the past year. While some became understandably upset with the lack of content, I appreciated everyone patience as we navigate the pandemic and adjusted lifestyles together.I owe a huge thank you to all of my fellow contributors who have helped along the way-Riley Johnston, Robert Reinhard, Jake Sloan (who somehow managed the Twitter account longer and better than anyone should be expected to), Bart Johnston, GrumpyDeac, Ned Harwood, Samurai Foochs, Elijah Kim, Adam Bridgers, Cam Lemons Debro, Chris Amaral, and many others who have contributed to Blogger So Dear through the years and made it what it is today.I owe a great deal of thanks to Les Johns and Conor Oeill for being willing to help out and share information with us from time-to-time https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Tyriq_Hardimon_Jersey-99. To those who allowed me to interview them through the years. To the people of Wake Forest for their hospitality. And to Caroline Darney, the Editorial Manager of SBNation College for allowing me to write and help with managing the blog. Finally I owe you, the readers, more thanks than I can offer for putting up with and continuing to read my thoughts, opinions, and rants throughout the years. To every single reader and commenter who has helped make this website a true community of Wake Forest fans, thank you. As I said earlier, Il still be around in some form or fashion-commenting from time-to-time and maybe even writing on occasion. Follow me on Twitter if you like Edward_Foster4. Continue to read and support this site and its writers-I know I will. And above all, remember that this site is for fans of Wake Forest to engage with each other and have fun talking about our beloved Demon Deacons. Thanks for everything! One final time...GO DEACS!
